Ustad Allah Rakha Khan
The Foundation of My Musical Journey
Ustad Allah Rakha Khan (Abbaji) was one of the most influential tabla maestros of all time and a legendary ambassador of the Punjab Gharana. Through his historic collaborations with Pandit Ravi Shankar, he introduced the beauty and depth of Indian Classical Music to audiences across the world and elevated the tabla to an international stage.
Receiving traditional taleem under Abbaji was the greatest blessing of my musical life. His uncompromising discipline, purity of tone, clarity of rhythm, and complete devotion to music laid the foundation of my artistic journey. Every performance and every lesson I teach is rooted in the timeless values he instilled in me.
