One of Rhythm Eternal’s greatest strengths is its authentic musical lineage.
Founder and Artistic Director Anirban Roy Chowdhury is a disciple of the legendary Ustad Allah Rakha, under whom he trained for seven years. He then pursued more than a decade of rigorous and immersive training under Pandit Yogesh Samsi in Mumbai before continuing his advanced training for nine more years under Padmavibhushan Ustad Zakir Hussain in the United States.

His education extended far beyond formal lessons. Following the traditional Guru-Shishya Parampara, he spent countless hours alongside his Gurus—observing rehearsals, attending recording sessions, listening, practicing, discussing nuances, and learning through daily musical experiences. This immersive training provided a deep understanding of not only tabla technique but also stage performance, accompaniment, musical interaction, discipline, aesthetics, and the artistic thought process that can only be gained through close guidance from great masters.
